GWS tanks are being marketed as Energy Savers since pressure tanks will prevent rapid cycling of pumps and save energy when compared to tank-less electronic controls. more...
Significant testing proved: The pre-charge of tanks in conjunction with VFD pumps should be set at 2/3rd or 65% of the pressure setting of the VFD setting. For example if the VFD setting is 6 bar then the pre-charge would need to be adjusted to 4 bar for both the controller and the tank to work effectively. For traditional pressure switch controlled pumps the pre-charge should continued to be adjusted to 0.2bar or 2psi below cut-in pressure.
Based on new regulations from the DOT ( Department of Transportation) in the United States all US made tanks (Challenger and C2 Lite Series) are shipping since March 2008 with reduced pre-charge of 20psi/1.4 bar. They are clearly marked with a sticker both on the carton and the tank indicating lower precharge.
GWS launched the SolarWave Series - the quality solution for your solar system. Specifications and details will be uploaded soon. In the meantime please email us and everything will be sent to you upon request.
GWS launched improved design of C2 Lite UT Composite Storage Vessels following our customers' requests. The new desing has a reemovable schedule PVC bottom connection that can be "accessorized" for increased installation flexibility.
PressureWave new sizes: 4 liter tank (PWB4) and 35 liter tank in three versions, horizontal, vertical with base, inline (PWB35H, PWB35V, PWB35)
Please note that the maximum working pressure of C2 Lite vessels had to be adapted to 8.6 bar/125 PSI and the maximum working temperature 500C/1200F in order to meet approval requirements. The maximum working pressure is not 10 bar/150 bar, the maximum working temperature is not 600C/1400F as indicated on the already printed brochures. This will be adapted on the next run.
